Internship in accounting provides undergraduate and graduate students interested in accounts and finance, an opportunity to gain hands-on experience while working with industry professionals on various types of projects. During your internship you will work closely with a professional team well versed with accounting practices and various financial systems. You will require to have some prior experience or education in accounting before applying to this internship. You need to have strong hold on Microsoft and excel working skills. An intern in this field needs to have an excellent attention to detail, good organisation and administrative skills. Your love for numbers and aptitude for number crunching is going to help a lot.
Intern’s Role and Tasks:
You will be working with a team and evaluating accounts of various types of organization and preparing report of analysis, suggestions and recommendation for improvement.
-  Prepare and verify reports
-  Analyse monthly balance sheets
-  Cross check tax implication and their fulfillment
-  Review Bank account reconciliation
-  Compile monthly reports
-  Ensures purchase orders, receiving and invoices are matched.
-  Ensuring compliance of standard practices.
-  Recommends change to purchasing and other financial policies and practices along with the team.
-  To receive and process all invoices, expense forms and requests for payment.
-  Verify calculations and input codes in to the Accounts system in an accurate manner.
-  To maintain and reconcile the Direct Debit mandates.
